On December 3, 2020, as a parallel meeting of the 2020 China Sewing Machinery Industry Conference and the Fifth Council of the Tenth Session of the China Sewing Machinery Association, the corporate standard "Lead Runner" program special work conference was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu. At the meeting, Lin Jianlong, vice chairman of the China Sewing Machinery Association, gave a detailed explanation on the implementation plan of the enterprise standard "leader" in the field of sewing machinery. He said that the enterprise standard "leader" system is a major measure of my country's standardization work reform. The sewing machinery industry standard system has a complete structure and reasonable technical indicators, and has a solid foundation for the implementation of the enterprise standard "leader" work. The association will first take the computer-controlled high-speed lockstitch sewing machine as a pilot, compile an evaluation index system and implementation plan, and gradually promote products such as overlock sewing machines and interlock sewing machines. Carrying out the enterprise standard "leader" plan is conducive to improving product quality, establishing a good corporate image, guiding enterprises to benign competition, and promoting the establishment of a sewing machine enterprise credit system and market information disclosure mechanism.

On December 15th of the same year, the China Sewing Machinery Association issued the "Announcement on the Establishment of Group Standards for the Evaluation of "Lead Runner" Standard Requirements for Computer-Controlled High-Speed Lockstitch Sewing Machines", which clarified that the standards are applicable to sewing thin materials and medium thickness. Computer-controlled high-speed lockstitch sewing machine product enterprise standard level evaluation for fabrics such as fabrics and thick materials. The main technical content includes the evaluation index system and evaluation method of the computer-controlled high-speed lockstitch sewing machine "leader" standard evaluation. The main drafting unit is China Sewing Manufacturing Machinery Association, the group standard will be completed in 2021. In this regard, Chen Ji, secretary general of the China Sewing Machinery Association, said that the corporate standard "leader" plan has been included in the association's 2021 key work plan.

Chen Ji said that the association firstly must do a good job in the pilot work of the "Leader" project of the high-speed lockstitch sewing machine standard, and lay a solid foundation for the comprehensive advancement of the "Leader" program in the field of sewing machinery; the second is to enhance the "Leader" standard. The evaluation requires the scientific verification of various technical indicators and the related work of standard publicity, and promote the continuous improvement of the overall product technology and quality of the industry.
