And other comprehensive considerations to determine the model, specifications and sealing materials. Each mechanical seal can only function effectively when it is used in the specified scope of application.
The correct and reasonable selection of materials, especially friction materials, is of great significance to ensure the stability of the mechanical seal, extend its service life, and reduce costs.
Installation and use instructions of mechanical seal
According to the actual working conditions, the correct installation and use of the mechanical seal is the key to ensure its long-term stability, safety and reliability after the correct selection of the structural type and sealing material of the mechanical seal
Key, improper installation and use will result in poor sealing performance, shortened service life or sealing failure. The following briefly introduces installation and use precautions for reference.
1. Check
Check whether the dimensional accuracy, geometric accuracy and mutual relationship of the installation related parts of the host and the mechanical seal meet the technical requirements.
1. The radial runout of the shaft is less than or equal to 0.04mm, and the axial runout is less than or equal to 0.3mm. The end of the shaft where the moving ring seal is installed is chamfered and smoothly transitioned.
2. Ensure that the surface of the stationary ring end facing the shaft is ≤0.04mm.
3. The surface roughness R value of the gland seat hole in contact with the static ring seal ring is not more than 3.2um.
Two, installation
1. Keep clean during installation, and apply a layer of clean lubricating fluid to the contact parts of the moving and static ring surfaces, auxiliary seal rings, etc. for installation.
2. When installing the static components, ensure that the end face of the static ring is perpendicular to the center line of the end cover, and pay attention to the anti-rotation groove on the back of the static ring to align with the anti-rotation pin, but not to contact.
3. When installing the rotating part, the working length of the rotating part must be ensured when the retaining ring or impeller is fixed to the shaft.
4. After installation, turn the coupling by hand to check whether the shaft rotates easily. If the rotation is heavy, check whether the installation dimensions are correct.
Three, use
1. Before normal driving, a static pressure test is required to check the sealing effect of the end face of the mechanical seal, the sealing ring and the sealing end cover, if any
Check and solve the problems one by one.
2. Before the main engine starts, keep the sealed cavity filled with liquid or sealed medium, and dry friction is strictly prohibited.
3. Before normal use, perform normal pressure and normal temperature operation and run-in for a period of time to make the end faces more evenly fit, and then perform normal operating conditions.
